OUTDOOR SEWING SOLUTIONS – CELEBRATING ONE YEAR ON IN HARROGATE

Outdoor sewing solutions, which is owned and managed by Martin Miller is based in The Harcourt Road Warehouse – Harrogate. This October they are celebrating reaching the end of their first year in business.

Established by Martin Miller in 2014, Outdoor Sewing Solutions is one of the leading contract sewing providers in the area and manages clients from a wide range of sectors including caravan and camping, extreme and water sport and bespoke sail making.

Martin grew up in New Zealand where sailing was his number one passion. This led to an early career in sail making and saddlery [leatherworks], which catapulted him into Team New Zealand [sailing] during which time he participated in several America’s Cup campaigns around the world, amongst others.

When Martin left the sail making industry behind, he moved into packaging and high tech labelling solutions, going on to represent some of Europe’s largest multinational companies.

Martin’s loves of caravanning with his family starting him back on the sewing path. “I used to repair tents and awnings and it quickly spiralled from there. I invested in industrial sewing machinery and leased a unit on The Harcourt Road, everything else fell into place for me and I am thrilled to be celebrating one year in business this October”.

As part of the celebration, Martin has commissioned a new website and online store for the wide range of products he supplies. “Deciding on the next step in my business development was easy. The internet has changed retail forever, so to stay competitive and generate new orders, I decided I needed to up my on line presence”.
